welcome to Protension Composites
Protension Composites develops preform manufacturing processes for the composites industry. Automated manufacturing of preforms for composite products is an efficient and cost effective way of replacing manual production steps.
Protension preforms are 3D, dry fibre semi-products. Advanced fibre positioning technologies are used to replace manual lamination processes. Protension Composites is able to automate far beyond the traditional filament winding shapes and can therefore offer a solid alternative for a wide variety of product geometries. Many different fibre architectures can be custom made according to exact specifications. Constant product quality and real time process analysis relieve expensive quality control.
Protension Composites finds its origin at the well known disciplinary group Design and Production of Composite Structures (Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands). We are able to offer the high quality preforming process design you are looking for. And we have the tools and experience to turn them into reality.
If you are looking for technical consultancy in the fields of composite product design, composite materials and manufacturing techniques, we are happy to investigate how we can help you out. In the technology section you can find out more about our advanced manufacturing technologies.
